¹⁴ for what makes everything visible is light. Therefore it is said:

Get up, sleeper, and rise up from the dead,
and Christ will shine on you. (Ephesians 5:14 CSB)

Our responsibility in Christ is to rise and shine upon others.

Now I believe that this begins with rising early so that I might get infused with God’s word.

I need it every morning. I need to reflect on the previous day and test the things I did against scripture. God is faithful to point out where I have failed and writing these provides me the ability to assess myself and adjust.

Life in Christ is not something that is set. It is something that we rise to daily and open ourselves to divine appointments.

We must also rise with Christ firmly placed before us so that we have a good start to our day and begin with the right mindset. In this way we can gauge our every word and act against the right standard.

In this way Christ shins upon us and we have the ability and opportunity to shine upon others.
