5 Now, the Lord of Armies says this: “Think carefully about[a] your ways: (Haggai 1:5 CSB)
Many go about life without a thought to their ways.
What they do is simply a byproduct of who they are.
We get into the syndrome of “Well, that is the way I am”, no longer considering if that way is right or wrong. In today’s vernacular, “You do you.”
But how are we impacting others by being the way we are? How does it impact our testimony? What does it say about the inner man?
At times in life we need to inspect ourselves. We need to ask the hard questions of “Why do I do the things I do?” And “Who am I really, and who do others see in me?”
At times it is good to ask the Spirit to inspect us and provide insight.
We need to think carefully about our ways and determine if they are in line with both scripture and are they in line with God’s plan for our lives?
God’s plan,
Seemingly elusive,
is not the question; to dig or not to dig, it is dig, pray and trust God. We are process people not production specialists. I believe God outlines a process for Christ followers in scripture, He ordains our harvest. We are distributers and He is the developer. We make our rounds and He directs our path and ultimate harvest.
So my challenge is to whistle while I work.
Thought I would provide a rare feedback comment ….as a sit on the deck this evening watching the sun go down…..
