⁸ And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency^[a] in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. (1 Corinthians 9:8 ESV)

In a world of ever more do we ever even sniff at sufficiency?

When God makes grace abound to us it is easy for “things at all times” to go right. But you see, we become too self-sufficient and then things start going sideways and we wonder why.

One thing that I have learned about life is that it is always going to throw you a curve ball. When we least expect it something will happen that make us look upward and begin to pray. But what about a life where we do this first? What about a life where we pray for God’s sufficiency in every aspect of our lives. This, my friends, is a practice that can and does change lives.

Reflect on: How sufficient your life seams. Maybe thanking God and a continual prayer for sufficiency will change other aspects of it.
