15 Be diligent to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who doesn’t need to be ashamed, correctly teaching the word of truth. (2 Timothy 2:15 CSB)

There is much to learn through scripture. Furthermore, we must listen to what God has to tell us about what we read there. Every line of scripture is God inspired and useful to our growth and to help others.

But we must be diligent to study the Word so that we might “present ourselves to God as one approved”. This means study and practice, not just skimming the material like you did in college. Well, at least like I did in college.

When we are diligent in our study we avoid the shame of not being able to defend our faith and we know the right words to speak to others. We may not always feel prepared but the Holy Spirit, that resides within, will assist as well in presenting the Word of Truth.

I am no scholar. I try to be a humble man who presents what he reads in scripture with what I hope is Spirit inspired insight. In doing so I strive to grow into one approved for this work among others.

Though you must test every word I write and others speak agains scripture.
