for the Lord your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn His face from you if you return to Him.” (2 Chronicles 30:9 NKJV)

The beauty of our God is just how gracious and merciful He is. We need only turn toward Him, and away from our sin to be gathered into His flock. When He gave His one and only Son for your and my sin, He knew what we were. He knew, even then, all the sin we would commit and He did this even so.

God does not expect us to be perfect, He expects us to seek perfection in His Son. Nothing we can do will save us from our sin. Only the blood of Jesus provides us that grace. When we fall away He continues to call us back. He waits patiently for the prodigal son to return so that He may throw a feast and welcome us back.

So, if you have gone astray know that no distance is too far, no sin too great for His saving grace.

Reflect on: The God who loves you. Turn toward Him and return to the fold.
