Making Room

In his pride the wicked man does not seek him; in all his thoughts there is no room for God. (Psalm 10:4 NIV)

This scripture, today, could not be more true. We live our lives on information overload. There is no time for solitude, it is just go, go, go, all the time. And the small silent moments in between we fill with looking at our phones.

Much like anything in our lives, we must make room for God. Which, if you think about it is sad, as we should have all the time in the world for God and make time for other things. But no, we squeeze God into our lives where we can.

This is not right.

We should not be “making room” for God, but He should fill our entire thought life while we make room for the rest that requires time/space.

When God is an afterthought we have not begun with the right frame of mind. How can God be the director of our paths if we only look to him in our rear view mirrors?

No, our focus must be first upon God so that he makes everything else fall into place.
