6 Remember, Lord, your compassion
and your faithful love,
for they have existed from antiquity.^[a]
7 Do not remember the sins of my youth
or my acts of rebellion;
in keeping with your faithful love, remember me
because of your goodness, Lord.

Since the beginning God has shown compassion and faithful love. He has worked through scripture to bring that love to sinners who do not deserve it. Even through two major periods of history, before Christ and after, God was always there seeing a relationship with us.

Yet, much like the Israelites, we have rebelled and followed our own desires.

But again, God remembered his love for us and washed us of all of our sins with his Son’s blood. He remembered us and kept to his faithful love and goodness.

We have the same responsibility to reach out to others in love and show them Christ compassion on each person. He continues to remember us all in His love for us and his continual desire to have a personal relationship with each and every one of us.

He has remembered us now it is up to us to remember him.
