The Committed Path

4 Make your ways known to me, Lord;
teach me your paths.
Guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are the God of my salvation;
I wait for you all day long. (Psalm 25:4-5 CSB)

Continuing on in Psalms 25, which is a really rich chapter, we seek for the Lord to show us how to live. To teach us the things we need to know so that we represent Christ in all we do.

God’s truth, is truth. Make no mistake. In today’s world people like to make up their own truth. But scripture is very clear that there are basics truths God provides that are unwavering. We can live within this truth in harmony with others even if they believe in a different truth. We do so by maintaining the truth of scripture in our lives, hating the sin of others but loving the sinner.

We are reminded in all of this that God is our salvation and this is the hope by which we live. We can wait all day long for the Lord because of this never ending hope. We know, no matter what is going on God walks beside us and supports us.

The path God has set us upon is one of building our faith and honoring our commitment.
