4 One who watches the wind will not sow,
and the one who looks at the clouds will not reap. (Ecclesiastes 11:4 CSB)
I like when I feel productive, getting things done and moving through my “to do” list. I know I can be prone to being distracted so I work hard to keep myself from doing so.
However, we all go through periods where we are less than productive. This can be true in any aspect of life, but it seems like our God given ministry to spread the good news takes a back seat far too often.
We all get busy with life. And depending upon what stage of life you are in you may find anything outside of job and family difficult to attend to. But we cannot forget that we have been given a much greater task to do.
We all have been given the great commission. Furthermore, we have all been given special spiritual gifts to utilize to fulfill that commission. Yet many Christians simply go to church, sit and soak and do not endeavor to touch others lives with Christ good news.
Friends, this is not the way. Each of us has a job to do and we will reap what we sow.
