¹² when you were buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead. (Colossians 2:19 CSB)

What does it mean when the scripture says we are to be buried and raised?

In being buried we are dead to our sins. We have given up our old ways and are living a life renewed. Renewed because we are then raised with Christ through faith to a new life.

Now we are working to live out our faith in a way worthy of Him who raised Christ.

On the day between the cross and the resurrection we are given time to consider what we need to bury in our lives. So that we rise on Easter to a new day.
