10 But Moses said to the Lord, “Oh, my Lord, I am not eloquent, either in the past or since you have spoken to your servant, but I am slow of speech and of tongue.” 11 Then the Lord said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Who makes him mute, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Is it not I, the Lord? 12 Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall speak.” (Exodus 4:10-12 ESV)
I have met many in ministry who are confident in their ability to carry out God’s plan in their lives. They are good at what they do and are eloquent when speaking about salvation and God’s great works. I have never considered myself that way.
I fought God for many years and did my own thing. But when God has a plan for us, and we are even slightly inclined to do so, He finds a way to equip us and put us to task. God will nudge us toward people and places where He sets up divine appointments. Those simple movements can have profound impacts on our lives and ministries.
I now write these devotions every day for anyone who will read them. I still do not see myself as eloquent in speech, but I look to the Spirit’s leading for every word.
Reflect on: Your God given gifts and talents, even if you don’t think you have any. Just a little desire toward them can have profound impacts.
