1 I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, 2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love,3 eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. (Ephesians 1:1-3 ESV)
This is a wonderful scripture that should be the hallmark of Christian life. But how well do we bear with one another in love?
The world is a chaotic and frenzied place. The pace of our lives seems to be ever increasing. We have scarce little time for ourselves, much less taking time to be loving to others. But this love is one that Christ desires we employee every moment of every day. It is not something we are to strive to DO, but more a way for us to LIVE continually.
When we approach life in this way knowing that Chris desire is for us to live out His love for others, it is far easier to be gentle and patient, bearing with one another.
