26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. (John 14:26 ESV)
I am going to go out on a limb here and say that most of us do not think all that much about the Holy Spirit. The Helper that God sends to all Christians when they come to Christ saving grace is maybe the hardest for us to really comprehend. We well understand God the Father and Christ the Son. But The Holy Spirit can be just a little difficult to grasp.
I believe the concept of the Holy Spirit is harder to grasp because of His subtle and spiritual nature. Often referred to as the Holy Ghost, that spiritual nature is not something many are comfortable with either. There is a spiritual realm, but it is one we cannot see and we do not perceive it as well as we should. Thus, we tend to not think much on this aspect of our faith.
But, go back to our scripture. God’s promise is that the Holy Spirit will teach us all things and bring remembrance to us all things God has revealed to us in scripture.
Reflect on: The Holy Spirit’s role in your life and faith. The fact that He is with you always as that subtle helper.
