8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 9 Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world. (1 Peter 5:8-9 ESV)
We know that the enemy, our adversary, relishes when we fail. He wants nothing more than to distract us and keep us off kilter so that we do not do that which God put us here to do. He can even do this with success. He can use that which we have pride in to make us stumble and fall.
We must be ever watchful for the slings, arrows and snares of the enemy. He will use everything in this world to lead us astray. He lies, cheats, steals and prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. This is why we need air cover. Prayer that brings about the working of the Holy Spirit and sets angels before us to fight in the unseen wars.
If we are not praying, we are most likely failing.
Reflect on: How the enemy works in and around your life. He does, make no mistake. Especially when you are doing good for God.
