9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. (2 Corinthians 12:9 ESV)
We, typically, do not want to admit that we are weak. Weakness is seen as a negative trait by the world’s standards, but is seen very differently by God. You see, Christ redemptive power is perfected in our weakness. We begin to understand that there is nothing we can do to make ourselves good enough, no work we can do to save ourselves, but God sent Christ to us for this very reason. So that He could be our redemption, exactly because we could do nothing in our weakness.
God has a plan for your life. No matter what you have done in the past, the power of Christ blood can redeem your life from this day forward. Just do not let your perceived strength get in the way and keep you from coming to Christ in your abject weakness.
Reflect on: The power of Christ blood in your life. How His power is made perfect in your weakness.
