10 “Be still, and know that I am God.
    I will be exalted among the nations,
    I will be exalted in the earth!” (Psalm 46:10 ESV)

I will hazard, we spend little time being still. Our days are hectic, weeks and months go by and we turn around and time slips through our hands. The world today moves at a breakneck pace and we often feel caught up in the whirlwind.

So much vies for our time and we are so intricately involved in it all that we allow our lives to live us rather than us living our lives. This is especially true when it comes to spending quiet time with God. If we are not setting aside time to be with God, then how can we expect God to feel close when we need Him? Oh, He is there, but it is we who become distant.
