13 Therefore, preparing your minds for action,[a] and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 14 As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, 15 but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, 16 since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.” (1 Peter 1:13-16 ESV)
What does it mean to live a holy life?
To be sure, none of us are able to of our own accord. Salvation provides with it an ultimate holiness, but it is something we should strive for.
I am reading a book about near death experiences. It details the visions of heaven, loved ones, Jesus and the angels people experience and in a word they are stupendous. These people come back completely changed. I think if we were to get a glimpse of the splendor of eternity we would live completely differently. In a word, we would do everything we could for Christ and to be holy.
