No Longer Myopic

28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good,[a] for those who are called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28 ESV)

So when we read this well worn verse we often think about how God is orchestrating things around us to make good work out for us. However, it is much broader than that. You see, when we think about this we too often are focused only upon our outcomes.

God is concerned with everyone and everything. That is why the scripture says “all things”.

So what we may miss in our narrow focus is the works God is doing in absolutely everything around us. Remember, God is working for the saint and the sinner. He wants the saint to live an even more perfect life, pointing back to God, so that He is working in the sinners life as well.

We need to stop having such a myopic view on our lives and the world. We have the potential to be impacting the entire world for God if we will only open up our eyes and view our role in His great orchestra. We need to trade our myopic view for His omniscient view.
