19 God is not man, that he should lie,
    or a son of man, that he should change his mind.
Has he said, and will he not do it?
    Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it? (Number 23:19 ESV)

It can be very easy to think of God in human terms. Instead of looking at Him as divine, we put human emotions and human changeability into who God is.

But that is not God.

God is divine, He does not lie, change His mind, or not fulfill His promises. God is the same today, tomorrow and forever. So in this we can fully rely upon a God that will fulfill scripture and the promises there without fail.

God wants an intimate relationship with us, like a friend. But we need to remember always that he too is The Father. While we can confide our deepest secrets in Him, and know He already knows them, we need to keep a state of awe about just who He is. He is omnipotent, omnipresent and all powerful.

So remember today that God will always be who He is and we can rely upon that completely.
