Cannot be Shaken

28 Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, 29 for our God is a consuming fire. (Hebrews 12:28-29 ESV)

Our faith needs to mature into a place where it cannot be shaken. We inherited a kingdom that cannot be shaken, so we need to look at everything knowing that no matter what God is there and will be with us.

These are bold statements, especially if you are going through a period where everything in your world is upside down. We can say them with confidence when things are going well, but when the bottom falls out, at a time when we may only have our faith to hold to, we can begin to falter. But we must foster a stronger faith than this.

If we come upon a time of true persecution as Christians we have to know that our faith is strong enough to not be shaken. When the end times come and the enemy is let loose on the earth we cannot have a faltering faith. We will be called upon to stand strong against fierce opposition. This will not be a simple argument of belief, but possibly a trading of our lives for our faith. We may literally be staring down the barrel of a gun to defend our faith.

When this happens will you have a faith that cannot be shaken?
