Intentionality

22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. (James 1:22 ESV)

We often go about our days randomly experiencing life even if our days are filled with task, deadlines and meetings. We succumb to the routine of our days, even when that routine is one of continual activity.

We are people of action but are we truly intentional. Now, I expect that if you are anything like me you would say, yes, I am intentional. I work to a plan, I have goals and I achieve things not based upon random occurrence. Good! You, like many others have set yourself to task for a given outcome, be it personally or professionally. But have you taken into account spiritually?

You see, intentionality goes beyond our personal and professional goals or plans. When we are intentional about our spiritual life there is a purpose there as well. As our intentionality around this grows with our faith, we experience more intimacy in our relationship with God and He will provide even greater purpose in life.

Intentionality builds purpose moves us beyond the mundane, builds intimacy and helps us achieve even greater things that we thought were possible.
