The Age of Speculation

22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, (Romans 1:22 NKJV)

I believe we have entered an age of speculation. Truth is questioned at every turn and people have a hard time discerning what they can believe. Paul was dealing with this same situation in his epistle in Romans. People were wantonly trading truth for lies. The problem was that they believed their lies to be truth.

Now we have AI that is, once again, providing us the answers we think we need even though the source may be questionable.

Why do we look beyond the Bible? Do we expect that this new world after 3000 years is telling us anything different than what Paul was dealing with in Romans. It is not! It is simply flooding our minds with what it thinks we want to hear, or what the enemy wants to deceive us with.

I am more convinced than ever that, beyond the Bible, we are trading truth for lies. This age of speculation, much like those of the past, is not producing anything new. In fact I think the Bible is clear that we are simply filling ourselves with more useless information and not seeking a the source of truth.

Reflect on: All you have heard, watched or read this week. At the end of the week, look back and against scripture what rings true?
