¹⁰ Come now, therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt. ¹¹ But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?” 12 So He said, “I will certainly be with you….”

When God sets us to a task that seems too big, do we like Moses say, “Who am I that you would send me!?” That may be a more common response than you might imagine. I am not sure that many of us feel up to the task that God puts before us, but ours is not to question why.

God may give you a perfectly reasonable task or talent to use. But He is more like to give you not a human size task, but a God sized task. You see, He does not want us doing the things He sets us to in our strength, He sets us to do things in His strength. Not small things either, like I said, God sized things. Even in our most mundane task we perform for God, when He is at work great things can come from it.

Why would the God of the universe set us to small task? To show His greatness. So next time you are called, do not ask “Who am I”, but ask “Who is God”?
