Worth

29 Aren’t two sparrows sold for a penny?[a] Yet not one of them falls to the ground without your Father’s consent.[b]30 But even the hairs of your head have all been counted. 31 So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. (Matthew 10:28-31 CSB)

What do you consider your worth?

No, really take a moment and consider it.

Many people have a very low perceived self-worth. This may be tied to a self-image that does not meet some standard. It may be because they lack confidence. It may be because they were taunted as a child for some difference. But all of these things are of the world. They are not how your Father in Heaven sees you.

I want to set the record straight right now. If the Lord knows exactly how many hairs are on your head, you must be very special indeed. Even if you are bald (props to my bald bro’s).

This scripture is here to prove to you just how much you are cared for. But if you do not accept His love, how can you ever expect to love yourself? You see, God is the foundation of love. He is the author and creator of love and all that comes with it. If we do not first believe this, then we will have trouble accepting our worth in His eyes and our own.
