Preach Jesus

35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning from this Scripture he preached Jesus to him. (Acts 8:35)

If you are ever worried or afraid to tell others about Jesus, here is Philip’s simple example.

Begin with Scripture.

Open your mouth.

Preach Jesus.

It really is that simple. God did not make the message of Christ hard to tell or understand. We may put a lot of things around it and in our lives that make it hard to comprehend due to our sinful nature. But the message is simple and clear, and easy to convey.

We like to express this in the Four Spiritual Laws;

God loves you – “God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life” (John 3:16).

Man is sinful – “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).

Christ rose from the dead – “Christ died for our sins…He was buried…He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures…He appeared to Peter, then to the twelve. After that He appeared to more than five hundred…” (1 Corinthians 15:3-6).

We receive Christ through faith – “By grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works that no one should boast” (Ephesians 2:8,9).

We receive Christ through a personal invitation, He stands at the door and knocks; “Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any one hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him” (Revelation 3:20)

These are the pivotal scriptures we should all know and be ready to preach about our risen Savior.
