Ever With Us

25 “I have spoken these things to you while I remain with you. 26 But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will sendin my name, will teach you all things and remind you of everything I have told you. (John 14:25-25 CSB)

Have you ever been in the middle of something and needed some insight and suddenly a scripture came to mind that perfectly fit the situation? That is two things; the Holy Spirit bringing to mind a scripture we have studied before. Both things are needed in our lives every day; scriptural study and The Holy Spirit.

It would be fantastic to have Jesus with us every minute of every day. But He had to leave so that The Spirit could come. He had to leave so that He could be with each us in the form of the Holy Spirit because in his corporal form that would have been impossible.

Even though we were never with Jesus, we can know the closeness that the disciples enjoyed and even more. The Spirit was sent as the Counselor and Teacher so that all of the scripture we study has meaning and application in our lives.

The best part is that even when we do not know we need Him, He is there. Ever in us, ever beside us, ever for us.
