²³ When he arrived and saw the grace of God, he was glad and encouraged all of them to remain true to the Lord with devoted hearts, (Acts 11:23 CSB)

It is very easy to watch the news and see events around us and get discouraged. But look closer. Not in the media, but to those who share the faith life with us. There is much to be encouraged by. There is a great host of saints doing all forms of good works.

This is how we keep our spirits upbeat and find joy in the Lord. We do not look to the world, but we look to those passing through to eternity, to those encouraging goodness in the world around us. And we do our part as well.

In a world where negativity has seemed to have taken hold, we must be the positive. We must be polarizing, but in a good way. We must too seek the good in others and not be disheartened.

For there is much good in the world too. If we will but look for it.
