Not Always Visible

for we walk by faith, not by sight. (2 Corinthians 5:7 ESV)

This is a short but profound verse. The idea of walking by faith is something that may take years to understand fully and cultivate. We are not given signs and wonders as were the disciples. We must take everything on faith and not rely upon sight at all. However, I would argue that if we look close enough we will also see visible signs of Christ in our lives.

I have the hindsight of many years of being a Christian. I was not always a good Christian and I can clearly see how Christ stood by me and loved me when I was unlovable. I can see His working in my life through the years, molding and shaping me and my circumstances. He did not always make it easy, but He clearly always showed up even when I didn’t.

Reflect on: How God has worked in your life in hindsight. Can you see the visible signs and marks upon your life that Christ was there?
