Prayer Warrior

Jehoshaphat was afraid, and he resolved to seek the Lord. Then he proclaimed a fast for all Judah, who gathered to seek the Lord. They even came from all the cities of Judah to seek him. (2 Chronicles 20:3-4 CSB)

Our family has had some situations where we all came together to pray for a positive outcome. Jehoshaphat was facing three armies coming against his people. He was afraid, as we were in our situation, but he knew the best place to go when we face trouble. His knees.

We often take prayer too lightly. We do not look at our selves or the power of prayer correctly. We should be prayer warriors. And this should not be some euphemism, but should be a stance we take when we mount the battlefield of life.

I have know some true prayer warriors. People who were and are my turn to when it comes to just about anything. People who while you are telling them about your situation will put a hand on your shoulder and say, ”Let’s pray about that right now.” And boy, do they pray! And you can feel that their words are heartfelt and earnest.

These are people I look up to. People who I turn to. They seem to have the right ear of God. I often feel that my prayers fall flat. That I am poor at articulating to God what is needed. But it is here where I remember that the Spirit lives within and when my words are poor that He knows the groaning of my heart and knows my every need before I state them.

No, I may not be a prayer warrior, but I have The Spirit living within that hears my every need. I do not stand upon the battlefield alone.
