18 Jesus came near and said to them, “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go, therefore, and make disciples of[a] all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember,[b] I am with you always,[c] to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20 CSB)
The Monday after Easter should be yet another great day of recognition. Jesus came to his diciples and gave them, and all of us, The Great Commission.
His work did not stop at the cross and neither should ours. We now have been given an awesome responsibility to take His message to everyone. And in doing so we can be assured thta Christ is with us, always, to the end of the age.
This is important because this age is passing away. Another is coming and we should be both preparing and prepared for its coming. Not ashamed, not afraid, but bold and corageous in telling others The Good News.
This is not a thing to hide in our hearts but something that should burst forth from us. Something that renders it impossible for us to withold or not manifest in our lives. Every part of our being should shout God’s glory and His salvation.
This may feel like a difficult task, but it is one that ease comes in the doing. Our faith grows, our courage becomes stronger as we live the faith life. Each day in step with Christ is a day closer to our heavenly home.
Go, teach the world.
