People of Action

So then, just as you have received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to walk in him, being rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, and overflowing with gratitude. (Colossians 2:6-7 CSB)

So many things in life vie for our attention. We have cultivated lifestyles of constant motion.

Thus, it is ever more important that we remain rooted and build up in Christ and established in the faith. By staying very close to Christ through studying the scriptures and praying regularly, we can continue to walk with Him and better understand His will for our lives.

However, these are just words without action.

Too often we get caught up in study without application.

The Word and prayer should be changing and charging our lives. It should be making us people of action. The enemy is very active and those who would be against our beliefs are as well. They are the vocal ones, while we sit in quiet timidity saying nothing. This is not the life we were meant for.

To continue in Jesus we must be people of action, unafraid of speaking our faith as well as living it.
