¹² In him we have boldness and confident access through faith in him. (Ephesians 3:12 CSB)

I, typically, tend to be a pretty bold and confident guy. But I know some friends in faith who are so much bolder and confident than I. I know some prayer warriors who seem to have a direct line to God. In essence I know others who are, by faith, so much more than I am in their faith walk.

I could let this be a source of comparison that makes me struggle with my faith, or where I am in my walk. However, I look at it differently. I see these people as someone to look up to and to pattern after. I am not competing with them in faith, I am trying to come along side them and grow my faith with them.

Because no matter how bold and confident we are, nothing happens without the access we have in Christ through faith IN him. No amount of who we are is of value without who we are in Him.

Thus, as we spend time today in reflection upon scripture we can pray that we may be even bolder and more confident in Christ. Doing ever more for the faith through which we live.
