19 Consider my enemies; they are numerous,
and they hate me violently.
20 Guard me and rescue me;
do not let me be disgraced,
for I take refuge in you.
21 May integrity and what is right
watch over me,
for I wait for you. (Psalm 25:19-21 CSB)
Sometimes it feels as if the world is against us. That there are more who wish us ill than those who wish us well. The world, for all of its space can feel crushingly small at times.
Our mistake comes from trying to take on the world alone. God is there to guard and rescue us. There for us to take refuge in always.
Even in those times when we fail and end up on the losing end of interaction with others, we can keep our eyes up and our faith strong. Unlike those without faith, when we fail, God is there to forgive us and to lift us up. In truth, He is even there to forgive our enemies if they will but turn toward Him.
We must be watchful in these times to keep our integrity in tact while we wait upon the Lord. Not allowing our anger or frustrations get the better of us. Even when it feels like we have been left for dead by others, know that God never leaves us nor forsakes us.
He is always there.
