Everything

26 For from him and through him
and to him are all things.
To him be the glory forever. (Romans 11:36 CSB)

11 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, then he who raised Christ from the dead will also bring your mortal bodies to life through[a] his Spirit who lives in you. (Romans 8:11 CSB)

Consider these two scriptures for a moment. Go back and really read them.

When we came to know Christ, and accepted His salvation, the Spirit came to reside in us. We often look at this as one to guide us and to be our ever-present helper. But it is much more than that. The Spirit is there because once we came to belief, everything that we did or will do from that moment on is in and through Christ. We no longer live for ourselves.

Now, can we head off corse and do as we please? Yes, God gives us that power. The power of free will. But that does not mean that the Spirit or Christ have left us. They are waiting and watching to see when the prodigal son will return. And when he does there will be much celebration.

When I asked you to go back and really consider these two scriptures I wanted you to see that both of them point to one fact. That everything is in and through Christ. We were bought and paid for with His blood and we should now be living our lives for Him and Him alone.

This seems daunting. But when we know that He is in all and through all, then it is much easier to do every action for Him.
