Without Pretense

17 But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peace-loving, gentle, compliant, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without pretense. (James 3:17 CSB)

There are a lot of agendas in our world. We must continually navigate the waters of what truly is admits a sea of varying expectations.

The beauty of how God works is the purity of His expectations and the fact that there is no pretense. Scripture may, at times, be difficult to understand but God’s message it clearly stated and his purpose is always the same; Love God, love one another, have faith in Christ.

Today we trick everything up. Trying to see through all that we wrap around our every message can be very difficult. We are continually having to read between the lines. This is the enemy keeping us off base and frustrated.

When we begin to allow the clarity and peace of God’s message permeate our lives we can cut through the mental and verbal clutter around us. We can begin to see and act without pretense. Through this, God begins to give us a vision of what His plan and expectations are and we can begin to live with a new found energy in our steps.

Living without pretense makes for an easier life.
