22 Many will say to Me on that day, `Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ 

23 And then I will declare to them, `I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.’ (Matthew 7:22-23)

When we come to faith and begin to practice a regular life of faith things begin to change. We may wait for God to make these changes, but more often they begin deep within us and are manifest through our life.

In this way, as we gain knowledge of the scriptures we begin to mature in our faith. This maturity will give way to us beginning to understand our calling and how we are to live out our ministry.

But we must check ourselves and make sure our motives are pure. We are not working out of self service but out of a love of God and desire to make His glory manifest.

Nothing we do out of self service will stand in the Kingdom. This because everything we should be doing is from Spirit who lives within us. Even within our work lives God will begin to be manifest.

We do not want to find we have been fooling ourselves and only doing that which brings us glory, personal success and honor. Nothing like this will stand. Only that which we have done in humble service to Christ to His glory will truly stand in eternity.

This is the way.
