44 “The kingdom of heaven is like treasure, buried in a field, that a man found and reburied. Then in his joy he goes and sells everything he has and buys that field. (Matthew 13:44 CSB)

Think about finding something of such great value you would be willing to sell everything you owned to gain it.

It would have to be something that we found far more appealing that all we currently had in our possession. It too would need to be something that would allow us to replace all we had with something of greater value. Lastly, it would have to be something that we felt would bring us great joy and excitement to be willing to do all of this to obtain it.

This is the joy we should feel for obtaining heaven. The beauty is that salvation is freely given but dearly paid for.

Consider it then great joy that you have found such a treasure!
