2 You know my sitting down and my rising up;
You understand my thought afar off.
3 You [a]comprehend my path and my lying down,
And are acquainted with all my ways. (Psalm 139:2-3 NKJV)
”Invite God into the daily.”
We all have daily routines that we believe are so important. Whether that is taking care of a family or the responsibilities of our jobs, there is much we are involved with each day. Much that must be done day to day that often, in hindsight, simply look like the drudgeries of life. But when we invite God into the daily we can do all those routine things with new purpose.
I believe we lose so much interaction with the Father, by just excluding Him from the things we think are routine. I have a lot of meetings every day. Some time back I began praying over my meetings before they started and soon began to realize that with God invited in they simply seemed to go better. It’s not that I did not deal with all of the same mundane things I always deal with, but that my outlook was…different. I no longer saw them as mundane, but as an act of worship. Something that God gave me to do and as such I was not working for man, but for God.
Reflect on: Your daily routines and struggles in life, are you bringing God into them all, into the daily?
