13 But now in Christ Jesus, you who were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.  (Ephesians 2:13 CSB)

Does God seem far away from you?

At times it can seem that God is no where near us. That we are facing everything alone. However the blood of Christ brought us the Spirit that lives within us.

But how can this be? Having the Spirit within but feeling God’s distance.

Typically it is our doing and not His. We have moved far from Him in what we do and how we live. It is not a loss based upon distance but one based upon intimacy. We lose that feeling of God being close because we are far away, not him.

We need only to draw near in our actions and our thoughts to regain our intimacy.
