9 The Lord watches over the sojourners;
he upholds the widow and the fatherless,
but the way of the wicked he brings to ruin. (Psalm 146:9 ESV)
If the Lord watches over all of these, how much more will He do for you?
It can be easy to have this attitude that God only sees to our needs when we call upon Him. Like He is too busy to look in on our lives from moment to moment. But God is omnipotent and omnipresent. He is everywhere all the time. This is one of the perks of being God. He is not single-threaded like we can tend to be. Time and space hold no bounds for Him.
Then, there is the idea that God only looks upon the ones He loves. There is some truth to this. But the larger truth is that God loves everyone, even the sad sinner. Which, in fact, is you and I. Just because we may be saved does not keep us free from sin. No, we are just a different type of sinner. One who already has the anointing grace of Christ blood to cover our sins.
Reflect on: God being with you every moment of the day. He does not come and go, He is always by your side.
