38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me. (John 6:38 ESV)
Soon we celebrate the birth of Christ Jesus, our savior, who came down from heaven and took the form of a man. He then experienced everything we experience and more when He took on the sins of the world past, present and future.
He did not come to do His will, but to do the will of the Father. He gave up all of his rights and His life to do the will of the one who sent Him. This is something we should take time and mediate on between now and Christmas morning. Really give some time to thinking about Jesus sacrifice for each of us and what that truly means in our life.
Then, we need to take that love He showed us and pass it on to others. Striving to make this a better world, even against the great tide of humanity and the enemy who seek to make it in their image. We know from where we came and where we are going and we should act accordingly.
