33 For God is not a God of confusion but of peace. (1 Corinthians 14:33 ESV)
I listened to a number of podcast yesterday regarding some recent political activities. I see both sides posting different thoughts on social media. Between them both the thing that comes to mind is how embarrassed I am for our country. We are like little children scuffling and arguing on a play ground.
What happened to us? Well, for one, the enemy is relishing all of this anger and discontent. He is sowing seeds of separation and laughing at us and how easily manipulated we are. Yes, I have a political opinion, but if it makes my brother stumble is it worth me voicing it!? It is not that we should not have strong views, but there are civil ways to enter a discourse that we seem to have forgotten.
God is not a God of confusion but of peace. We need to fall back upon Him so that we too become people of peace.
Reflect on: Prayer for all those who lead us and how they all need to check themselves against Godly discourse.
