6 Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him,

7 having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude. (Colossians 2:6-7)

How can we live a life overflowing with gratitude?

Well, the first of our scripture gives us part of the key; Receive Christ Jesus, walk in Him, firmly rooted, built up and established in your faith.

I think the only other thing that is needed is an abounding love. Both a recognition of it coming from the Father and an overflowing of it to others. With these things firmly rooted in our hearts how can we not have a strong faith and overflowing gratitude?

Life can throw a lot at us, but God is there through all of it, the good and the bad. We need but to know that no matter what He will be true to His promises and will continue to love us. Even if we feel unlovable.

Thus, go into this day overflowing with gratitude.
