A Piece of the Puzzle

8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:8-9 ESV)

You do realize that your life is but a piece of the puzzle, right?

Because we only see a very limited amount, literally only the moment we live in, we may lose sight of this. So when good fortune or great troubles come into our lives we see them only in the context of that moment in our lives or the perceived outcome. We may not recognize that God is using the situation to reach others by how we respond or what has happened.

While we may think that we can only have a visual impact through our suffering, God can use any situation and many aspects of it to His advantage. Even if we may not feel like the situation has any advantage to us, we will never fully understand just how God has used the moments of our lives until we reach heaven. And when we get there and God reveals the full tapestry of His plan with our lives I think we will be astounded by how many very simple acts have influenced the Kingdom.

So saying that we are just a piece of the puzzle can greatly diminish the greatness of how God can use the moments of our lives. Never think your piece is so small as to be insignificant.
