Plumbing

10 I have sought you with all my heart;
don’t let me wander from your commands.
11 I have treasured your word in my heart
so that I may not sin against you. (Psalm 119:10-11 CSB)

I got a new watch recently to replace one that was on its last leg. It is a similar make to the last one with a few new bells and whistles. However, my complaint about the old one was how complicated it was setting the digital and analog time.

So why did I get another?

I don’t give up!

I figure anything worth owning/doing is worth doing well. So I make my self learn new things constantly. All of life is this way and nowhere more so than in scriptural study.

There is gold to plumb within the pages of scripture. And while yes, it is to build my faith, there too is just so much practical knowledge. Many people struggle through the Old Testament. But there is so much good there! Proverbs and Psalms alone are worth the read. But I find something useful in every day life in every book, chapter and verse.

I have learned to seek God through the scriptures and with all my heart. Treasuring His Word in my heart so that I do not go astray, which is my nature.

There is much wisdom to be plumbed from scripture.
