Send your light and your truth; let them lead me.
Let them bring me to your holy mountain,
to your dwelling place. (Psalm 43:3 CSB)
Do you ever feel like your life is a mountain to get over?
I know I have had times like this.
But that is not how God meant life to be for us. Even in the midst of turmoil and suffering, life does not have to be a mountain.
Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional.
These old but very profound words need thought. God is leading us to his light and truth. He is making them manifest in us, if we will but let Him.
We may look at life as a mountain to get over or we can look at it as a summit to achieve. Pain may be inevitable, but our outlook upon life can change so that it is not suffering.
Reaching God’s summit means being in His dwelling place. A truly valuable mountain to climb.
I know these are but words. But words have impact and thoughts can change our perspective.
