¹¹ Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice.^[a] Become mature, be encouraged,^[b] be of the same mind, be at peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you. (2 Corinthians 13:11 CSB)

In the Apostle Paul’s letters to the churches you will notice that his goodby was just as meaningful as his hello. He was working to build up these new churches with every word of his letters. Even the ones where he had to be hard because they had some lingering pagan ways.

Regardless, he was working to make them better and build them up. He wanted nothing more than for them to become mature, encouraged, peaceful and of the same mind. This too is how we should be a Christian brothers and sisters. Not just to one another but to all we meet.

When we work to continually build others up, we too are built up. God gives us just as much spiritual encouragement so that as we build into to others He builds into us.
