²⁰ Our citizenship is in heaven, and we eagerly wait for a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ (Philippians 3:20 CSB)

I am one of those proud Texans. It’s not a state, its a state of mind kinda guy.

But I never mistake the fact that no matter how proud of my state or my nation I am, I am a citizen of heaven. I am not of this earth.

Grounding our minds in this fact allows us to see beyond what might be happening now to where we are ultimately headed. Nothing in this world can compare to that reality.

The beauty is that when we get there we will too be there with Christ. What an incredible thought.

So keep your mind upon things above and consider where you truly belong.

As a citizen of heaven. This is our great hope.
