27 Instead, God has chosen what is foolish in the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen what is weak in the world to shame the strong. 28 God has chosen what is insignificant and despised in the world—what is viewed as nothing—to bring to nothing what is viewed as something, (1 Corinthians 1:27-28 CSB)
I worry about our society. I worry that we have moved past the point of no return. That we have reached a point where, from now on, good will be considered evil and evil good.
I feel this especially deeply when I read scripture and see how it gets twisted around today.
I long to see God working and making scripture like we have today evidently clear. But what I see more is people simply discarding the truth for a lie. I see those of us who try to adhere to scripture ridiculed and shunned for our belief and our views. I see that which holds no value put forth as valuable.
I worry that we will not be able to pull out of our downward spiral, and maybe too this is scriptural.
Today I pray for us all and know that God hears the groaning of my heart.
