How Wonderful

3 When I observe your heavens,
the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which you set in place,
what is a human being that you remember him,
a son of man[a] that you look after him? (Psalm 8:3-4 CSB)

God has made a world around us that is quite wonderful. If we will actually take time to look.

Each day brings with it something new for us to experience in God’s handiwork. If we but slow down to recognize it.

Too often we race through life in a blind stupor only focused on what is before us, only mindful of our next appointment. This is why it is so very important to spend time outdoors. To sit in the wonder of all that God has made, to feel the wind, the sun warming our face and to glory in what God created.

Then we can begin to understand how small we are and the wonder then turns to the fact that God seeks an intimate relationship with each of us.

How wonderful is it that the Creator of all that is around us has this level of compassion. How wonderful is it that we can have a relationship with God who wants nothing but the best for us, even when times are bad.

Take time to step outside, stop down and take in all of God’s creation and your place in it.
